Faculty Award

Cassandra Gulam, senior instructor of Spanish language and cultures and program leader for Foreign Languages and Cultures at WSU Vancouver, was awarded one of nine inaugural Faculty Fellowships for Community Engagement, after a competitive application process through WSU’s Center for Civic Engagement. The faculty fellows represent four campuses, five colleges, and eight disciplines. Cassandra’s fellowship will support redesign of the Spanish for Medical Professionals course to include a significant practical and civic component. It will be offered in spring 2018.
